Elke Mark works as an artist and researcher — mainly in Performance Art and textiles focusing on Sensous Knowledge, movement and dialogue concepts. As co-initiator of the PAErsche Performance Art Network she continually develops the Open Source Session group format. She received various artist residencies and grants and does exhibitions and Solo-Performances within Europe. Elke Mark is author of articles on artistic research, micro-phenomenology and tactile knowledge. She is teaching at the Europa-Universität Flensburg and organised the BRISE Performance Art Festival Flensburg/Aabenraa
