Europa ist (noch) dicht, die Grenzen (noch)zu. Wir befinden uns zwischen Lockdown und Rückkehr zu einer Art Normalität. Distanz wird uns weiter begleiten. Was bedeutet das im Alltag? Wie begegnet man seinen Nachbarn, wie begegnet man jetzt Menschen, die man noch nicht kennt? Wo kann man sich überhaupt wirklich begegnen, wenn sich die Gesellschaft gerade nach Gesundheits- und Abstandskonzepten organisiert? Führt diese Situation dazu, dass sich selektiv negatives Verhalten anderen Menschen gegenüber verstärkt? Das sind Fragen, die uns gerade beschäftigen und auf der Suche nach Antworten, möchten wir echte Begegnungen schaffen.

Für LABEL//ME arbeitet KUENDA mit Hasan Sido. Hasan kommt aus Haloba in Nordsyrien und ist Schneider. Er lebt schon seit einer Weile mit seiner Familie in Flensburg und hat bisher keine Möglichkeit, seinen Beruf auszuüben. Für unsere Residenzzeit in der NORDER147 wollen wir das ändern. Wir begeben uns mit ihm auf für uns neues Terrain – wir nähen und bedrucken Stoffe gemeinsam. Die entstandenen Taschen, Kissen, Kleidungsstücke werden wir in den Fenstern der NORDER147 ausstellen und Ihr könnt sie kaufen.
Genauso gut könnt Ihr aber auch vorbeikommen, Stoffe, alte Kissenbezüge oder Supermarkttaschen mitbringen und wir schauen mal, was man daraus für Euch machen kann. Es gibt Tee und Zeit für einen Schnack von drinnen nach draußen, Zeit sich auszutauschen, sich kennenzulernen, sich zu begegnen.

 

 

 

 

Europe is (still) lockedup, the borders are (still) closed. We are inbetween the lockdown and the return to some kind of normal life. Distance will remain our comanion. What does that mean for our daily lives? How are we meeting our neighbours now, how are we meeting new people, that we do not know yet. Where can you actually really experience a free meeting, when society is been restructured by health- and physical distancing concepts? Does this situation cause a push for negative behavior towards other people? Question that we are thinking about at the moment, searching for answers we want to create real encounters.

KUENDA is working for LABEL//ME with Hasan Sido. Hasan is coming from Haloba in the north of Syria and he is a tailor. It is a while now that he moved to Flensburg but up to now he had no chance to work in his profession. For our residency at the NORDER147 we want to change that. Together with him we are breaking new grounds for us – we are going to sew and handprint cloth and clothes. We will exhibit the bags, pillow cases, clothes that we are making in the windows of the NORDER147 and you can buy them there.

But at the same time you can also just pay us a visit, bring cloth, old pillow cases or supermarket-bags and we figure out, how to pimp them. We have tea and time for a personal chat from inside to outside, time to exchange, to get to know , to meet.
